My path to art

My name is Stefanie and I am a passionate freelance artist. Like many other artists, I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. For a long time, I saw art as nothing more than a hobby. The idea of being able to make a living as an artist seemed unattainable to me – something reserved only for the great masters of the past.  

But the internet has fundamentally changed my perspective. It opened up a world of freelance artists and showed me that even today it is possible to turn your calling into a career. Suddenly, my hobby became a vision. 

About my artist name

I work under the artist name Varied Wings. Since my real surname may change in the future, I decided on a permanent artist name. 

For me, however, this name has a much deeper meaning. For me, it symbolises that nothing in life  is just black or white. It is full of nuances, variety and shades of grey. It is a daily reminder to see and appreciate diversity in all its facets. Each of my artworks is an expression of this versatility – whether in the different animals I depict or in the complex emotions and experiences I express through my art.  

My inspiration and message

My greatest inspiration comes from my love of animals. Their beauty and nature fascinate me endlessly. Each of my drawings is not only a tribute to the animal world, but also a message. I want to remind people that the animals that inspire us so much are not just a motif. They are equal, beautiful creatures that deserve the same respect and protection as we do.
